Reiki

Reiki was developed in the early 1900s by a Japanese Buddhist monk named Mikao Usui. Usui's teachings were later passed down to a number of different teachers and schools, leading to the development of different forms of Reiki, such as Usui Reiki, Karuna Reiki, and Tibetan Reiki.


During a Reiki session, the client lies down fully clothed while the practitioner lightly places their hands on or above the client's body in a series of hand positions.
